Department of International Law

Its core area is International Law and all related subjects. Graduate courses are: Public International Law (Fourth Year), elective courses are Diplomatic and Consular Law and The Law of the Sea. The Department offers several courses in English for Erasmus Socrates exchange program students:  Diplomatic and Consular Law, International Organizations, International Humanitarian Law and The Law of the Sea. Within International Law Module  the Department offers courses for postgraduate students where several distinguished visiting professors participate. The Department also offers doctorate studies in international law and related subjects. The Department works together with the Institut for International Law and International Relations, part of which is the UN Depositary Library. Members of the Department are also responsible for coaching the faculty's team for Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, coordinating the Model United Nations Club of the faculty (MUNLawS), organizing, together with partners, the Legal Clinic for the Environment and coordinating the Regional Academy on the United Nations. The members of the Department and the Institute are engaged in teaching and research activities which often include various legal opinions and research, academic seminars and international conferences: www.R2Pconference.com and www.environmentlawconference.com.

The head of the Department and the head of The Institute for International Law and International Relations is Associate Professor Vasilka Sancin.
