ELT (notice by Prof. Turk)

Dear Students,

I hope you are having peaceful and pleasant holidays.

Students have scheduled themselves in 3 stages (December/January/February) to complete all our ELT course obligations (passing both of the evaluations in a Public Law (Test) and Private Law (Exam) along with an oral exam-conversation, and 5-or- more-page research paper on a topic related to our course).
  1. Some of your colleagues have finished all of their obligations in December, and have departed for 'home'
  2. Others wished to finish in early January, and so I have some 'info' for them below.
  3. Still others (including those students here for the whole year) will complete their obligations by mid-February, and I will write a future notice for them.
(As I mentioned several times at our class this year, I expect to be outside of Slovenia for most of January, after our meetings for evaluations on 3 January, and oral exams for students prepared to finish soon.)

Read the information below, and please send me a reply e-mail if you plan to come on 3 January, either to write (or re-write) a Public Law test  OR to write a Private Law exam OR to do both. Clearly write in your e-mail to me if you are coming for test or exam or both.

Students can come to room Seminar-2 on Tuesday, 3 January 2012:
  • from 11:oo-12:oo for a 'review' of our ELT course, and to ask questions about areas presenting difficulty to them;
  • from 12:oo-13:oo to write (or re-write) their Public Law evaluation (if they have not yet passed that test);
and
  • then from 13:oo-14:oo, students who are prepared to write the exam on Private Law subjects (Contracts, Torts, Property, Civil Procedure) will have a chance to finish that course obligation on 3 January.
Otherwise, they can prepare to finish the exam on Private Law in early February when I am back in Slovenia from the Faculty 'break' in studies.

Lp and srečno novo leto 2012...
