Leonid Pitamic Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition
The competition is organised as a moot court and is divided into two stages. In the first stage, the team members prepare two written memorials. In the second stage, if they qualify, team members present their oral pleadings before a chamber of judges.
All law students who are enrolled in a 1st or 2nd cycle study programme at the Faculty of Law may take part in the competition, including those in the first year of study. Students compete in teams of three.
In the finals, the two best teams compete in an oral pleading, which takes place at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia in front of a bench composed of jurists of the highest reputation. All competitors are invited to the final event, where certificates, trophies and awards are presented.
All students who wish to improve their skills in legal argumentation and interpretation, their knowledge in constitutional law and jurisprudence, and to test their teamwork skills, are welcome to enter the competition.
