Project Description
The purpose of the project is to design and develop a web application available as one of the solutions on the iurall.com website, owned by IURALL d.o.o., that enables individuals and companies to quickly and accurately obtain information on labor law. With the help of mentors, students examined the problem from three perspectives: legal, information technology (IT), and business information (BI). First, law students studied labor law and case law and prepared a decision tree, and then IT + IP students transferred the decision tree to a web application.
The application allows information seekers to search for answers to specific life problems, in which, for example, an individual who is faced with the termination of their employment contract informs the application that they have been served with a termination of their employment contract, whereupon the application will ask them several specific questions to determine the specific circumstances of the case and then provide the information seeker with their rights and obligations and the options available to them in the specific case. Without the help of such an application, individuals would have to search for answers in various sources, which would take much more time and money.
With this free application, which is not yet available in Slovenia, every individual will be able to find answers to labor law questions. The key result of the project is to make legal knowledge more accessible, thereby raising the level of legal literacy in Slovenia, made possible by today's technology.
