Vabilo za sodelovanje z O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law - COVID-19 Law Lab

Iz organizacije O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law v ZDA so nas prosili, da z našimi študenti delimo naslednje obvestilo:

The
COVID-19 Law Lab initiative gathers and shares legal documents from over 190 countries across the world to help states establish and implement strong legal frameworks to manage the pandemic. The goal is to ensure that laws protect the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities and that they adhere to international human rights standards. The Lab is a joint project of the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and Georgetown University. As we work to build as complete a set of laws as possible, we invite the world into this collaboration.

The database was launch in July 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is ongoing as countries are still responding to the outbreak. We hope to build a robust database that can help lay the legislative foundation that countries can adopt to be better prepared for the next outbreak. We currently use the database for analysis articles, comparative analysis, and opinion pieces.

We are currently working to fill gaps that we currently have in the database and looking for students that would be interested in working on Slovenia and potentially other South East European countries. There are opportunities to source documents, research, and/or write pieces depending on your interest. If you are interested in learning more, please email Kat Ginsbach at
