International Forum

The International Forum of the Faculty of Law was founded in 1994. The Faculty invites leading experts from Slovenia and abroad to participate in the forum with pro bono lectures on legal aspects of processes under way in various parts of the world. The Participants in the International Forum get acquainted with foreign legal systems and institutions and, what is more, with the people behind them.

The International Forum has an important role in preparing Slovenian lawyers for the various types of integration processes in which Slovenia is currently taking part. Lectures at the International Forum are open to the general public.

The International Forum began with its work on 22 April 1994 when Mr. Lojze Peterle, the then Slovenian Foreign Minister, gave a speech.
