Energy Law Summer School

The Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, together with the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), invites all prospective candidates to apply for the second Energy Law Summer School, which will be held at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana.


About the Energy Law Summer School

The Energy Law Summer School will take place on 18 and 19 September 2025 at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, Poljanski nasip 2, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

This is the second summer school of its kind in Slovenia, co-organised by ACER. The programme is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and insights into the most pressing issues in the energy sector today.

Participants will engage with topics such as the integration of the European electricity market, the gas crisis, and innovative approaches to decarbonisation. The programme includes compelling case studies that highlight various challenges and solutions. A special focus will be placed on ACER's pivotal role in shaping the single European electricity and natural gas markets.

The Energy Law Summer School not only offers a unique academic experience but also provides valuable networking opportunities with leading experts and industry professionals.


Who Can Apply?

The Energy Law Summer School is aimed at graduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers in legal and related disciplines who have an interest in, or focus on, energy law.

The number of participants is limited to 30. In the case of more applications, a selection will be made based on CVs and letters of motivation.


What Is the Deadline for Application?

The deadline for applications is 31 July 2025. Participants will be notified of their selection by 10 August 2025.


What Is the Application Fee?

Attendance at the Energy Law Summer School is free of charge for all participants. However, participants are expected to cover all other expenses (e.g., travel, accommodation) associated with attending the summer school. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available during breaks.
