Neža Pogorelčnik Vogrinc is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Law. After graduating from the University of Ljubljana (Program prizanesljivosti (Leniency Programme), 2009, cum laude), she joined the Ljubljana High Court as a trainee. In 2010, she joined the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana as a young researcher (mlada raziskovalka), where she obtained her PhD in 2014 (Začasne odredbe v civilnih sodnih postopkih (Provisional Measures in Civil Court Proceedings), cum laude). Since 2019, she has also been working as a researcher at the Institute for Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. Her teaching and research work focuse mainly on civil procedural law, private international law, and mediation. She is a mentor of the UL Faculty of Law team, which annually competes at the ICC Student Competition, and is a President of Tutor's Work Commission. In the years 2021–2023, she led the European project E-training on EU Family Property Regimes (EU-FamPro) (JUST-JTRA-EJTR-AG-2020). She has participated or is still participating in several European and national projects and programmes (npr. Reforma prava varstva potrošnikov v Republiki Sloveniji (2014–2016), Pravo dolžnikov in upnikov – normativna in pravno empirična analiza (2019–2022), Pravna in ekonomska analiza vpliva staranja prebivalstva na zakonodajo (2019–2022), Personalized Solution in European Family and Succession Law (2019–2020), Diversity of Enforcement Titles in cross-border Debt Collection in EU (2019–2022), Private International Law in Motion (2020–2022), Uveljavljanje kolektivnega sodnega varstva v primerih množičnega oškodovanja potrošnikov in drugih skupin oškodovancev v Sloveniji (2021–2022), Vključevanje pravnega izrazja evropskega prava v slovenski pravni sistem (2015–present), Digital communication and safeguarding the parties’ rights: challenges for European civil procedure (2022–present), Private International Law in Motion 2.0 (2022–present).
