Project Description
The project will address public-private partnerships in rural development. RA Sinergija, a company involved in the project, is based in a rural area. The concentration of entrepreneurial activity in this area is significantly below the Slovenian average. Our project aims to explore how public-private partnerships can effectively help improve the current situation in this area. In the project, we will define various forms of public-private partnerships (service contract, management contract, lease contract, concession contract, bot-form project financing, privatization) and, with the help of a company, identify/explore the possibilities of public-private funding in the area covered by RA Sinergija d.o.o. We will also explore the opportunities and conditions for drawing funds and financing from the European Union. In addition, we will search for and study good practices in Slovenia and other selected European Union member states. We are collaborating with the Institute for Comparative Law to study foreign practices and legislation. On this basis, we will identify potential shortcomings in Slovenian legislation in this area and prepare possible proposals for amendments to the Public-Private Partnership Act.
