Project Description
BONTON izobraževanje d.o.o. is one of the few companies in Slovenia that deals exclusively with etiquette and education in this field. The project aimed to prepare a guide to legal etiquette that does not yet exist in Slovenia and covers as many areas as possible in which legal professionals may work. The participants wanted to familiarize lawyers with the topic, especially those who are just entering the working environment after completing their studies.
The most crucial goal of the project team was to raise awareness of the rules of good behavior in legal circles, with particular focus on etiquette in academia, the courts, and the legal profession. In all of the above-mentioned "spaces," they discussed superior-subordinate relationships (lawyer-client, judge-lawyer/client, student-professor) and established rules of conduct. The correct responses to these and other situations in professional legal life were compiled into a handbook on legal etiquette, which will be a source of help for all those involved in law or about to become lawyers. The handbook is also helpful for the participating company, as it can be used in its workshops, and the findings gathered there will be communicated to the workshop participants. With the help of the handbook, the authors have provided readers with an overview of the rules governing mutual relations in legal work, to ensure that these relations proceed without the awkwardness that can often affect business results.
