Legal studies

By the general principles of the Bologna study reform, the doctoral program in Law is structured as a comprehensive, four-year (240 ECTS) academic curriculum. It represents the pinnacle of academic achievement and is reserved for the most capable and dedicated students who wish to combine traditional studies at the highest level with individual scientific research work. Within this framework, each student selects one of the thirteen specialized modules: Civil Law, Labour Law and Social Security Law, Economic Analysis of Law, European Law, Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Criminology, International Law, Legal History, Roman Law, Theory of the State and Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law. Students may also choose from several elective courses from different modules next to the general courses such as the course on legal research and methodology.
