Ana Oblak is a member of the Department of Legal and Economic Science at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. She a teaching assistant in Finance at the Faculty of Law and Strategic Management at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana (SEB LU). She received her bachelor’s degree in management from the SEB LU. She continued her studies at the International Full Time Master Programme in Business and Organization at SEB LU, where she earned her master’s degree in marketing and technology management. Already in her master’s thesis she studied determinants of bank loan supply in the boom, bust, and recovery periods of the Great recession for the case of former Yugoslav countries. In an extended form, this remained her main research interest also through doctoral studies. Not only taking into consideration the variables on the level of an individual bank, the role of broader economic environment, regulation and policy measures in driving indebtedness and deleveraging of non-financial corporations and households is studied. In addition to her research, she has assisted in the process of strategy development for different organizations, including the University of Ljubljana and the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana. Her role was mostly in the data analytics, from analysis of sustainability practices to the analyses of broader or industry environment.
