Filip Dougan

Filip Dougan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, which he joined in 2018. He obtained his doctorate with distinction (cum laude) with a dissertation on cross-border property relations of couples. His teaching and research focus on civil procedure and private international law. He has been and continues to be involved in several national and European research projects. Since 2025, he has been a member of the Lindemann Fellowship for Private International Law. Since the 2023/2024 academic year, he has also contributed to teaching the course Foreign Legal Terminology – French. He coaches teams for the PAX Moot Court and the Concours européen des droits de l’homme René Cassin and co-organises the Summer School of French and European Law and the Ljubljana Private International Law conference.
