Miha Juhart

Miha Juhart is a Full Professor of Civil and Commercial Law. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 1986, then obtained his Master's degree in 1990 and his PhD in 1996 at the same Faculty. In 1986 he joined the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana as an teaching assistant and researcher. In 2006 he was elected for a full professor of civil and commercial law. From 2009 to 2013, he was Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Ljubljana. From 2014 to 2018, he was Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana. Since 1995, Dr. Miha Juhart has advised numerous clients on complex issues of civil and commercial law. He served on the Supervisory Board of DARS, NEK and Pozavarovalnica Sava, was Chairman of the Management Board of DUTB, d.d., Chairman of the Expert Council of the Securities Market Agency He is the author of numerous scientific works in the field of civil and commercial law, the author of commentaries to basic laws (Obligation Code, Property Code) in the field of his research and one of the most frequently cited authors of scientific and professional works in decisions of Slovenian courts.
