Saša Zagorc

Saša Zagorc is a full professor at the Department of Constitutional Law. After completing an internship at the Ljubljana High Court, he joined the faculty in 2002 as a young researcher. He completed his Master's degree in 2004 and his PhD in 2008. He has been a guest lecturer or researcher at several European universities (Tübingen, Catania, Bergen, Palermo, Reykjavik, Yeditepe, Prague, Bratislava). He has participated in more than 20 national and international scientific research projects. His main research interests are Slovenian and European constitutional law, electoral law and human rights. He has been a member of three expert groups in the National Assembly on the revision of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia and several working groups on the legislation proposals, in particular in the field of elections and the implementation of ECtHR judgments. He served as Deputy Member of the National Election Commission in 2004-2012 and 2016-2020. He is a member of the Odysseus Academic Network of experts in the field of asylum and migration and several other domestic and international professional associations.
