Vid Žepič is an assistant professor and researcher at the Department of Legal History at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. He conducts tutorials for the course Roman Law and participates in the courses Foreign Legal Terminology – German, Ius Commune and the European Legal Tradition, and Sexual Criminal Law. His research focuses on Roman property and criminal law, the reception of Roman law, and selected issues in the history of canon law. He has participated in numerous international conferences and academic meetings in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Croatia. He has furthered his academic training at the Faculty of Law, University of Münster, and at the Center for Studies and Research in Ancient Law (CEDANT) at the University of Pavia. In both 2023 and 2024, the Senate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana awarded him a prize for outstanding scientific achievements. Dr. Žepič has conceptualized and led several educational projects aimed at modernizing the curriculum by integrating information and communication technology into the learning process. Since 2022, he has served as a multiplier for the didactic use of ICT in teaching at the Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Faculty of Law’s research team for the program Integration of Legal Terminology of European Law into the Slovenian Legal System and the NOO Ultra project group Educational Ecosystem for the Development of Digital Competences of Educators and Students.
