Viktorija Žnidaršič Skubic

Viktorija Žnidaršič Skubic is a full professor at the Chair of Civil and Commercial Law. She is the author of numerous scientific and professional articles and monographs and parts of monographs published by renowned domestic and foreign publishers. She has mentored numerous diploma and master's theses, scientific master's degrees and four doctorates. She has participated in various scientific and professional meetings at home and abroad, led and participated in several scientific research projects. She lectured as a visiting professor at foreign universities, performed peer-reviewed work at home and abroad, and was an evaluator of proposals for foreign and international projects. She is professionally active in the wider social environment: she was a member of the inter-ministerial working group for the preparation of proposals for systemic solutions in the field of family relations and child protection at the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. From 2002 to 2006 she was a member of the working group for the preparation of the Family Code, and from 1997 to 2000 she was a member of the working group that drafted the proposal for the Act on the Treatment of Infertility and Reproduction Procedures with Biomedical Assistance. As a national expert, she collaborated with the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, Special Interest Group: Ethics and Law. She was a long-time member of the National Commission for Reproduction with Biomedical Assistance at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia, and since 2012 she has been a member of the Ethics Commission for Transplants within the same ministry. Since 18. 12. 2018 she has been a member of the Habilitation Commission of the University of Ljubljana. She is a member of the International Society of Family Law and the European Health Law Association.
