Srebrna katedra
Srebrna Katedra is an association of retired professors of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana.
About
It organises consultations, round tables, lectures and other meetings to discuss current legal issues and – in agreement with the management of the Faculty of Law – issues concerning the development of legal studies. It connects with similar networks of professors at other faculties and universities and invites their staff and students of the Faculty of Law in order to discuss relevant issues.
The first Chair of the Srebrna Katedra was appointed by Emeritus Professor Ciril Ribičič. In the academic year 2023/24, the position was taken over by Emeritus Professor Polonca Končar.
The association has so far organised more than ten round tables, expert meetings and other events in various legal fields and beyond, e.g. on the utility of autonomous weapons and artificial intelligence, the regulation of blockchain technology, and the threat of war with nuclear weapons.
